About the trees
Q. What quality should I expect?
All our trees are of the highest standard and are hand picked from the farm. The great thing about real trees is that they are all unique! You will find that the side that gets the most sun during growing will be fuller than the side that gets less light (simply face this side to the wall). The beauty of having a real Christmas tree is they are all different and year after year you will get a uniquely beautiful tree!
Q. How long will my tree last?
Our trees will last up to 4 weeks. With a little love and affection, your tree will probably last a little longer but neglect it and expect less. Keep your tree in a cooler part of the house away from direct sunlight and water it every day to ensure your tree is looking its best come Christmas day.
Q. Can I select a size?
Our trees come in 3 sizes – small, medium and large. Pick our smallest 5 foot tree (1.5 metres), ideal for an apartment or if space is tight. Alternatively, our most popular 6 foot tree (1.8 metres) is ideal for a home with a standard ceiling. Feeling ambitious? If you have the room and ceiling space, you can upgrade to the largest option in the range, our 8 foot tree (2.4 metres). Alternatively, check out our potted trees here!
Q. Are there any tips for looking after my tree?
Caring for your tree is very simple. Water every day is the key! Follow our care tips below and help your tree make it to Christmas.
- In the first two weeks your tree wants to drink. Keep it hydrated by refilling your Cinco stand every day. Don’t let the water dip below the base of the stand; if it does the base will seal and won’t be able to absorb water
- Use a Cinco Christmas tree stand. Our Cinco stands have the largest water capacity on the market. If you already have a stand and it has limited water capacity, you might want to consider upgrading to one of our Cinco stands as they hold a full day’s water
- Keep your tree in a cooler area of your house and away from direct sunlight. The warmer the room, the shorter the life of the tree
- Be wary of placing your tree near air conditioning, as the lack of humidity may dry it out. A spray bottle may help to hydrate the needles.
- After the first week, put a few cuts in the trunk of the tree below the water line.
Q. Do you decorate trees?
As a family owned and operated business, we believe decorating your tree is a very personal affair that you and your family should enjoy together. Q. Is harvesting real trees bad for the environment?
Sourced from environmentally friendly and sustainable farms, the year after your tree is cut down a new tree begins growing in its place! If you choose a package with tree removal your tree will be picked up after Christmas and turned into woodchips. The Christmas tree truck endorses an environmentally friendly and sustainable cycle from the first cut to the final woodchip.
Q. Are Christmas trees toxic to pets?
There is potential danger to your pets health if it consumes the water in your Christmas tree stand, or ingests the pine needles on the tree. Please take some time to ensure your pet stays safe over Christmas:
- Confine your pets away from the tree when you are not home.
- Keep your trees water supply covered if your pet can access the base of the tree

About the delivery process
Q. When are you delivering?
The Christmas tree truck delivers 7 days a week! This year we are offering after hours delivery (4pm – 9pm) Monday – Friday and all day deliveries on the weekend. Enter your suburb to find out the available delivery days and times for your area.
Q. Do you deliver outside of Canberra?
We deliver primarily in Canberra, its surrounding regions and the Snowy Mountains. Enter your suburb in our delivery page to see if and when we deliver to your suburb. Not sure? Give us a call on 1800 636 612.

Q. Can I change my delivery date?
Q. What kind of stand do I need?
Don’t have a Cinco stand or have a different brand? Our drivers can only install trees in Cinco stands. We have tested the quality of the Cinco and they come up trumps! We just can’t be certain of the quality of other manufacturers and don’t want our wonderful trees to topple over!
Q. How does removal work?
After Christmas, leave your tree outside the front of your home and on an allocated day early in the New Year we will collect and recycle it into woodchips.
If you can’t take the tree outside, let us know via email or phone then make sure you’re home on your allocated day and we will come inside and remove it for you. No mess, no fuss!
Following Christmas our removals typically start on the first weekend after New Years day (e.g. 5/6 January). Just make sure your tree is outside where our drivers can easily spot it before the weekend! If you’re going to be away and can’t have your tree out, please let our team know via email. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you closer to the date :)
Q. What if I can’t get my tree outside?
If you can’t get your tree outside, or have nowhere to put it, let us know via email or phone and we will organise a time to come inside and remove it for you. No mess, no fuss!
About buying online
Fast, easy and convenient. We know your time is valuable, so purchase online. Our e-commerce system is so easy! Just place your order online, select your delivery date and we will do the rest.
Q. Are my personal details safe?
We take your security seriously. All of your personal information is encrypted by a Trustwave Premium SSL certificate. This ensures all details you send to us via the internet will be encrypted. If any other user intercepts the communication, they will only be able to view the encrypted form. This makes it impossible to be intercepted by an unauthorised party as long as your browser supports the use of encrypted data transmissions.
Q. Do you store my credit card details?
We don’t hold sensitive payment details about our customers. When you input your card details during shopping or into your account area, the card processor retains all the information about your card and only issues The Christmas Tree Truck with a unique token identifier. This token allows us to track your payment against your order. It also allows us to issue refunds. We don’t have access to your complete credit card details to make any further charges.
Q. How can I tell the website is secure?
